Kustom Kidz is a new and innovative business that was born through one family's alternative method of decorating their childrens bedrooms. Coming under pressure form her 10 year old son, Julie New found the only cost effective way of kitting out Tommy's bedroom completely to the colours of his favourite football team, Liverpool F.C. was to do it herself. Then came a request from her daughter to build a large storage chest, which of course had to have Rebecca's name on it. An order was then made by a close family friend to design a similar blanket box, which had to blend in with the theme of her newborn's nursery. Before long Julie found herself stocking her once "just for fun" designs in her high street retail store.
The main idea behind KustomKidz is that every single item is individually designed from scratch, completely to the customers standards. Each unit is hand crafted in the home workshop by Julie's husband Denis, before being given a base colour coat. It is then hand painted to the specifications of each order. We can transfer any illustration or cartoon character onto any one of our products. Each item can be personalized with your children's names. There's nothing more novel for a child than to have his or her name printed on their very own piece of furniture alongside their favourite cartoon character.
Our latest addition is the Kustomkidz Kraft Kreatorz. This is a centre for the whole family to come and develop their creative talents which currently include knitting, crochet and tatting classes, along with the children’s club which runs every Saturday. The selection of wool now available is huge and includes many brands like DY, Debbie Bliss, Rico, JC Brett, King Cole, etc. It will be one of the largest wool shops in Ireland .
Another very exciting addition to Kustomkidz is the Craft Fair which will take place over a weekend every month and will be exclusive to handmade crafts , these will include crochet, knitting, tatting, jewellery, woodworking, framing, baking, sewing, painting, patchwork and many many more..
